Scheduling Official Photos

Soldiers and civilians needing official DA photos must schedule an appointment at the Visual Information Ordering Site. Do not call the local offices to schedule an appointment. Staff will be unable to assist.

Preparing for an Official Photo

The following resources will help you prepare for having your official Department of the Army photo taken.

Soldiers should refer to AR 670-1 Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms or AR 640-30 Photographs for Military Personnel Files for additional information.

TV2 is the commander’s cable access television channel that provides the latest news on installation events, agencies, services and happenings. TV2 also features various Pentagon Channel programs, and other military-produced video packages from Hawaii, the Pacific region and worldwide. The channel provides command information such as local weather information, emergency preparedness tips, severe weather updates and safety information. It also features a crawler to provide the latest updates in case of emergency.

The Visual Information Studio provides audio and video support. Units can request coverage or check out equipment. All requests must be submitted using the DA 2903, Multi-media/Visual Information Work Order or DA 1687, Delegation of Authority, forms available at the Visual Information Ordering Site. The first time you use the system, you will have to register.
