Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey P. Cereghino was born in Fresno, California, and graduated from Dinuba High School in May 1994. He joined the U.S. Army in January 1995 and completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) for Corrections Specialist (95C) at Fort McClellan, Alabama.

CSM Cereghino received his Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College, Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Kentucky University and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from North Central University.

His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (1-OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (3-OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3-OLC), Army Achievement Medal (11-OLC), Good Conduct Medal (7th award), National Defense Service Medal (Bronze Star), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 5), Overseas Service Ribbon (with numeral 3), NATO Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation (1-OLC), Army Superior Unit Award (1-OLC), Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Drivers Badge.
